Point #2, if I were you, I'd be sorely tempted to "forget" to fix the charm/FD problem. At least for awhile.

I mentioned that to a friend the other day as well. Its amazing how much I've learned about the programming (what can be done/tweaked/created) just from reading the EQ EMU Forums. I'm not sure if the current capabilities in the programming allows for the more fluid changes or SOE could have made this changes back in the day themselves and they just chose not to.
