Yendor has a pretty good thought on the matter. Get her interested in the people side of it not so much the game side and she will play the game to play with the people.

Yendor's right on - she's far more likely to be "hooked" by the social aspects of the game than the "gaming" aspects (like most of us, really).
If that fails, I'd suggest slipping her a nice hypnotic, such as Chloral Hydrate - but watch out for when it wears off!
