I am fairly certain that there is a bug with the xp rate. It will need some testing but all of these reports aren't just unsubstantiated whining, regular xp from killing mobs is slower than it should be.
I don't give a shit if a couple of people took advantages of a few tricks to get to 50 in a week with no sleep while shitting in socks. The average player can't function can't function in this environment. I couldn't even get to 4 without saying fuck it when I tested it out.

Are you sure you weren't just fighting mobs 33% of your level? The first few levels are unique because a dark blue mob doesn't necessarily give you 1-2% like it normally would, because some dark blue mobs are 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4 of your level.
I mean, even with a 40% exp penalty I find dark blue mobs are giving quite a bit of exp (like I said, 1-2% of a level). I played a dark elf SK on Live and if anything I remember solo exp being slower than that. If there is a bug with the exp rate it really can't be that huge since solo exp is still relatively fast.
