Palemoon is right. When global ooc went away on p99, so did all the global spammers. People named iIIIIIIIILILILll spamming dick stories wastes staff time.
I understand not wanting to put in the effort for something that might actually do more harm than good, and I also understand the general public bounces from topic to topic thinking the server would be saved if only this happened.

But, back to topic with global /ooc

1) Level requirement to post to global ooc.

If you have to be level 15+ to post in global ooc then it would get rid of the people with whack names spamming. If they were doing this after being level 15+ it wouldn't be a waste of time for a gm to just get rid of these jackasses at that point.

2) Keeping regular /ooc and global ooc (maybe /gooc) separate would allow people to put the conversations in different chat windows and organize it the way they like. If you customized it right it shouldn't hurt if it scrolled a lot.
