While i am ignorant on the coding aspect of the game i think a fun even would be as follows.

- Spies of Norath,
Your home town has been plundered and top secret info has been stolen ! Track down the player who stole it, kill them and return the plans to your town !

In this event, every time a player is killed they have the chance to drop a no drop letter, this letter is top secret information that has been stolen from the looters home city. Make this letter rare so you have to kill like 10-15 players to get one, and such that trying to exploit it would result in the loss of a few levels. Letters can be turn in to new npc's in your home town for some loot, lets say 4 npcs pop each one gives a different reward for each letter so you can choose Caster gear or melee or whatever. Loot is NO DROP and basically a clone of current items in the game but with a new name (and maybe a tiny stat increase), IE you could copy of a mith 2 hander or SMR, with a fancy name and 3 more dex =D, no drop keeps it from being exploited. Maybe add an in game title for whomever returns the most plans or is the first to return a letter.

I think this is fun because you must kill other players ! (find the spy who stole your towns top secret plans and return it and claim your right as hero)

Make it so only a few zones are turned on for the drop, lets say WC to Oasis or Gfay to SF so players of all levels are packed into a few zones
So basically, you want item loot. Except instead of having to run to your town every time you got a note, you could just loot the item right off the victim. Think about it lol.

I think a scavenger-hunt style game with PvP competition for each point of interest would be awesome. But seeing as it's either everyone for themselves, or giant guilds of giant dicks, I'll just wait for the next box.

I want the sense of camaraderie and us-vs-them that a team brings, without the humiliation and hassle of being subservient to an inner echelon of mouthbreathing basementdwelling 20somethings.
