A tranquil look of relief, they lay there and nap,
for all were convinced, it was quite the keen trap.
Soon up on the roof, was a slight pitter-patter,
they arose from their sleep to see what was the matter.
Jumping up from their beds, in quite the mad dash,
with fangs primed and ready, claws open to slash.
The moon lit the path, for their soon-to-fall foe,
and the scent drew him near to the kobolds below,
Alas, a quick glimpse of the fat man was clear,
and along him he brought the eight tasty reindeer.
They saw the old driver, he carried a pick,
but that wouldnt matter, his death would be quick.
Approaching their cabin, he drew on the reigns,
and whistled, and shouted a bunch of odd names:
"Now Dasher! Now Dancer!
Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid!
On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Lets get us that rat meat,
my stomachs too small!"
