is there anything you see in those two phrases that you disagree with?
there's really nothing latent about skin tone. it would take tens of thousands of years of constant external pressure for a group of exclusively black people to evolve white skin. and at the end they would probably be more genetically dissimilar to fair-skinned in existence now than they are now.
