Ummm, EQ's pvp was kickass and still is on this server. It's the risk of losing something if somebody kills you; the joy of knowing what you did to the other person if you kill them. Only other game I've played that even had anything close to that was Darkfall, and in that game you were forced to either join a guild and get on vent, or tradeskill for ridiculous amounts of time. Screw that, EQ rocks. You can solo and still be kind of badass without ridiculous tradeskills.
Oh, and they removed that whole loot the entire corpse thing REALLY early on with Rallos Zek...someone who killed you could always loot one item so long as it was not NO DROP, but very early on if you did /consent to someone, they could loot your gear, presumably so they could give it to you without you having to grab it yourself. That got taken out REAL quick.
