1) When linkdead, it should NOT show your LD status ..

The zek's didn't show status either (they patched that in really fast -- when the server first opened and the first gen crowd started hunting in oasis (13-16), that's when it got patched in.

This just destroys this server when you get a guy just innocently blacksmithing with some $$ on you (in a city because guards don't assist..!!), then suddenly you go LD and someone notices and kills without any chance. No skill involved -- just free money for them, and loss of money+exp loss for the LD. Unfair and not fun. Hell even the pker must feel guilty.

2) If in pvp range, everyone should be white con! If over range, red con, under range, green con.

Because level ranges make such a massive impact on your ability to fight each other, pvpers should be assumed some risk that they could be a little higher or a little lower. It's also fun -- if you're a smart pker, you'll have to observe your opponent to guess if he's higher or lower than you. Requires a little true consideration [You must be logged in to view images. Anyways, this one, #2, is VERY important and worked wonders on the zeks. This also prevents trolls roaming around only looking for blue cons which is going to be a 100% win and an exp death for a poor sap that had no chance in hell. If this guy 8 lvls under was max 8 lvls under, but conned white, the pker may be hesitant which will cause him to observe his opponent first if smart -- or can rush in recklessly and risk it.

It's very very worth while.
Agreed.

No LD message = not a trivial target because, in many cases, uncontrollable circumstances (loss of power, internet goes out, girlfriend turns your computer off cause you play too much P1999, etc)

I agree with the red, white, green con system. The more uncertainty about your opponent the more interesting the battle. The more risk and uncertainty the higher the stakes of choosing to initiate PvP = fun.
