Also you are no doubt using a shit garbage two hander so that doesn't help. So that coupled with terrible combat skills due to low level you are:
1. Missing due to skills
2. Hitting like a turd on the rare occasion you score a hit
Things will change whenever you get a better weapon and level a bit.
