I know it does that if you camp, log out, go back in asap. Your character hasnt logged out from the world yet. On live there use to be a bug where if you /quit or /exit, which completely closes EQ and takes you to desktop it would sometimes keep your character in world [Linkdead] for hours on end and you couldnt get in til it booted itself.
Never scene that bug here before though or heard of it. Are you trying to load more then 1 char? Cant 2 box here it IP limits you.
