a shaman was actually the first level 50 on our server, Veeshan, back in 1999 also; the reason again: broken pet (shaman pet was meleeing for over 100 damage back then)

Are you sure? I played on Veeshan at release and thought the first lev 50 was Kalaran (Furor's first character, a rogue)followed by his high elf cleric buddy Nino.
