I got the rod at level 57. I was hitting above the 200 mark with your average shaman buffs you would find in sebilis. It was nerfed a few months ago, but i still see a hit for 200 every once in a while with over 150 str.
IT hits constantly for 60, 120, 140. When it hits, it hits. When it misses is where you will lose your dps. With a bard in the group, and a shaman for str, it does near the dps of my 59 spectre pet(hasted).
It does well over the dps of my 58 pyrocor dot, our best fire dot.
This is all aginst a dark blue mob at 60.
Anything green it basicly never misses, thats why its so good for powerleveling.
