There's one play type I really like (forget what its called) where you can only use commons. I won't play pre-constructed anything because I'd rather not play against the Turn 3 Win Neckbeards who live and breathe Magic. Draft or nothing for this guy.

It's called pauper btw. I used to play it competitively on magic online back in the day. Can build most decks for around $15. Even won a couple premier events.

Edit: There's a real life variant called peasant I believe, but I think that allows like 5 uncommons. It feels less structured overall.
