Warrior caps are higher but agreed, I don't think it's gonna be a huge difference. Especially with jousting which is what most melees end up doing in pvp.

Throw in unattainable AA's like triple-attack for warriors and the margin widens significantly. Still, I don't know many (if any) warriors who could beat a pally or even sk due to the self-heals they possess. The spread of gear would have to be immense.

Edit: I see what you're saying about the 40's now. ^--- is more end-game 1vs1 style.
Yeah, he was talking about earning xp leveling up. Shouldn't really be a factor until close to the 50s and by then the Paladin has some very strong buffs and heals to make up for the lost DPS.

I still think they would be better off with a pet caster than a melee.

If you want to go melee route go war/sham/cler. Not the fastest killing group, but very potent. Can take out named rares the others would struggle with. Especially at the high end where stuff summons and pets are worthless. Cleric and shaman buffs stacked on the warrior make him a monster, and then you add in the complete heals and awesome HoTs to go with the best defensive tank in the game.
