The keychain thing I understand, since that was a later convenience. But why wouldn't killing the goblins in Droga increase faction with Brood of Di`Zok, like it used to?

I'm interested in knowing that as well. Chardok factions and quests added more content without giving access to overpowered items, especially once you consider the amount of effort to complete the quests.
