Yeah I didn't notice they distribute the client. I'm patched and logged in a temp char that I just deleted. Client looks quite different from what I remember.. but I haven't played since the initial release. Only played DAoC for a few months when it first came out so everything looks pretty much brand new and I don't remember much from the game besides basic gameplay. I have vent skype MSN and AIM which I'm pretty much connected to 24/7 so let me know whats going on when things get closer to starting Scrooge.
I played on the game's release back at the end of 2001 as well, they def improved the interface and graphics big time. I wish SOE would've done the same for EQ, but that'll never happen. If you'd like to get more familiar with the realm we'll be playing in [Albion], feel free to make a char and mess around with it.

As for some classes being disabled and the server being buggy, you gotta remember that its a CLASSIC server, like Project 1999 is CLASSIC EQ. If disabled classes and a few bugs here and there is your definition of broken, then every active MMORPG that exists is broken, cause they all get patched.

My suggestion is, try the game with our group before passing judgement, you got nothing to lose.

We'll most likely meet on IRC [Windows IRC Client: www.mirc.com] (IRC Server: irc.eqemulator.net, chan: #uthgard), to meet outside the game before we start so we can plan our playtimes and what kinda group we'll be making, who will be playing what etc.

If you need help or have more questions, feel free to ask.
