i receive a lot of feedback regarding problems with permissions or black screens or serverlist not showing up etc..


im working on moestaverne.com right now and a launch is in sight!
with it, there will also be installation guides (with screenshots) and news regarding the launcher and my other projects and services..

but for now, here is some information which should help those people having trouble:

if you get the error "Not enough permissions, aborting patching..." this is due to the launcher having insufficient rights to write to the everquest directory..

the solution:

rightclick EQEmuLauncher.exe,
go to properties.
Under Compatibility, check the checkbox "Start as Administrator" or "Execute as Administrator" or whatever it is on the english client.
Then click OK and start EQEmuLauncher.exe and try to patch again.

If this doesnt help:
open the windows explorer and navigate to the folder where your have your EverQuest installation.
Rghtclick your EverQuest folder
Click on the Security-Tab and click on "Edit".
In the Group- or Usernamelist, click the User you are logged in with.
Then, in the list below (Rights) give "Full Acces".
Then click OK and start EQEmuLauncher.exe and try to patch again.

If, after starting EverQuest, your screen goes black, this has nothing to do with the launcher, but most likely with your resolution settings in your eqclient.ini..

if there are other problems ingame, this is most likely due to wrong custom files or any files damaged and also has nothing to do with the eqemulauncher..

if the serverlist will not disappear, this also not the launchers fault... the launcher patches the eqhost.txt..
tho, if you arent using Titanium, the login server port changes from 5998 to 5999.. for those having troubles with the login server with the titanium client: sometimes servers wont appear or there are only empty brackets: []... for me, logging out and in again fixes this..
