It's not even close to 50/50. It's 15 people who want yellow text, all of which happen to be box shitlords, and who also happen to be the loudest voices. Luckily the staff here seems to understand that the majority of the players are not forum warriors.
Now, the whole "promotes pvp" logic is so fucking flawed it should actually hurt your brain if you believe that. Rallos Zek gave you
ability to PvP. You didn't
have to do shit. It was mainly race wars for the first year. If you chose to play a PK, fine, but it definitely wasn't celebrated. If you chose to play it the same exact way as blue but chose to get down every now and then, awesome. True bad asses earned their reputation by making enough rounds – not camping level 4's and smirking, hoping everyone just saw their name broadcasted across the server as they reached for more Cheetos, because it's obvious that Name In YT = Supreme Bad Ass. This is not a first person shooter no matter how bad you want it to be.
You also don't need yellow text to "know where the pvp" is either. It's been the same fucking zones since the beginning of time.
The only legitimate reason for YT would be a massive zone guild battle and needing to know who's been dropped. I think if two guild's /guildwar eachother, than maybe a solution to zonewide/global YT should be looked at.
