Not sure if the timeline applies for Red 99 as Enchanters can't charm players from the outset.
Vague memory also tells me that Whirl Til You Hurl wasn't a big deal either. It was that spell instead that threw you up in the air that was absolute hell on players... cant remember the name but you could smash someone for 10k+ damage with it if you were outside. Was hilarious to see, too.
