Well, you need to do testing in the arena with resists on spells with varying degrees of magic resist and determine what was classic.
Guys like Lethdar and Kringe actually know what they're talking about, not Johnny_Forum_QQ'r_01.
Part of this is that, yeah, the pvp in this game is unbalanced. You have to deal with that. Terrible and ridiculous things will happen with and without resist gear. There's also huge swings when characters get certain items. Some epics are better for pvp than others. You have to accept this coming in. Being perma rooted with no magic resist buffs/mr gear is part of the game.
