SoL sucked for PvP; it was the beginning of the end for PVP.

Wizards sitting in the bazaar waiting for manaburn to pop then going out and one-shotting someone then insta-gating to the bazaar then rinse/repeat was some real fucking skill I tell you.

Rangers running around while plinking you for 500 hps a hit non-crit over and over while having no LoS issues from hills was real hard too. Oh, yeah.. they could do it from distances of over twice as far as spells.

Lifeburn? Pfft... like necros even needed it.

And resists were fucking retarded too. In classic at least you have to sacrifice AC or HPs or both to get resists... you had to pick your poison. It got mega-retarded when they started adding a shit-ton of resists while adding to every other stat. Resists were getting so fucking retarded I saw a bard on the consolidated PvP server telling a necro to lifetap him. 8 casts and 8 complete resists... ON LIFETAP. I know it was adjusted later, but the damage was done long before.

The books in PoP was the breaking point for me. I was a mage and had to jump people if I was to have any chance of beating anyone (no lures, cast times longer than abacab's hair, very cc-able pets). Well, this was gayed by everyone running to the book before they would even think about trying to fight... if they were losing they would just book to PoGayfaggotbullshit.
