You're pretty much correct.
Play Squadron Hawk, find 3 more. Use Jaces 0: ability, Draw 3 cards, put back two hawks. repeat as needed (free shuffles from playing squadron hawk leads to quality card choice (strong)). Then control the opponent with his -1: and +2.
Furthermore, in the same deck, you're running stoneforge mystic and battleskull.
Play stoneforge turn 2, find batterskull, turn 3 play a 4/4 lifelink/vigilance/bounceable creature at instant speed for (w)(1). Then if the 0/0 creature that batterskull makes dies, you throw it on your squadron hawk for a 5/5 lifelink/vigilance/bounceable.
The control, card advantage and agro package in one deck was soo strong in standard, it spilled over into a legacy build. Nevertheless, Jace and STF were banned in standard because of that deck (
