paid is paid. i've got my masters, he's working on his. i'm self employed, he works in IS. i'm working in the cannabis industry currently, but i'm not employed by a collective. i'm contracted by them (private residences at times too) doing grow area setup, maintenance, and advisory. it's mostly wrangling fat stoners, and explaining to them why they can't just water their plants with tap water, and making sure they're not going to burn their shit down with bad wiring and other stupid mistakes like that. it's good money, but it requires a pretty diverse skillset. part cultivator, part psychologist, part electrician, part carpenter, and part babysitter. the house we're buying is roughly 1800sqft, with a detached garage which is kind of a big deal out here.
