Sorry man, I feel like I've really disappointed you. I gave you evidence that fatties die younger, I thought you'd be ecstatic. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I take it you didn't even read that article. Their whole study is based on a model they created. It also states this:

The study did not take into account other potential costs of obesity and smoking, such as lost economic productivity or social costs.

Anyone can create their own studies from scratch and have it "prove" whatever side they want.
One study I often find hilarious is the one that links coffee to heart disease. The problem is, people who drink coffee generally do so because they didn't get much sleep the night before. So is the heart disease a result of the coffee or the fact that they aren't getting much sleep? And then there are other factors such as are they more easily stressed out on a daily basis and a reason they drink coffee is to try to stay awake on the job and perform a higher level... leading to even more stress? This list goes on....

Fat people boost the economy because they buy what 6-8 times the food you do!
Farmers would be starving without fat people!

I think there's a misconception that fat people eat more than skinny people. People that are in great shape typically have to eat a lot because they're burning a lot of calories. Michael Phelps eats 10k calories a day while Manny Pacquiao eats 7k. You can also make a healthy nice size meal at home that might be about 600 calories, while if you go out to a restaurant, the same size meal could be closer to 1500-2000 calories.
