2002 is old but certainly capable of eq doubt that is the issue. I'd try the reinstall first man before you sacrifice chickens!
And all that stuff be it target rings, maps, or spell sets were not classic. I don't think helms not showing or able to be disabled was either hm. Not that it proves anything but...
