Read something somewhere that women generally dont go to the forward area in war, not because of some female frailty or inability to deal with the trauma of war, but because men dont deal with the sight or idea of women sustaining casualty. If a man receives a mortal wound right in front of another man, it one thing. If a woman receives the same mortal wound, the man processes it differently psychologically, and apparently to the team's detriment, as it would lower the combat effectiveness of the witnessing man.
