it's been that way a while. they've also selectively done this with the rules as well and actually manufactured a server where cheating was beneficial to the players, and mostly raiders, since last year. whether there's a wipe or they ban them permanently or even start giving out pre-nerf fungi staffs in EC i don't see myself coming back.
