I kind of want to try making my own sometime tho, seeing as I live right near a japanese market. Has anyone here attempted making their own sushi?

Yup I've made my own rolls, and as somebody stated getting the rice just right is the hardest part. The first time I made it I didn't cook it long enough so it was crunchy, the second time I cooked it too long so it was sticky, and the third and forth times my fiancee made it and it turned out perfect. Then I told everybody in my guild how awesome it tasted and they just laff'd at me.

Aside from the rice it's all pretty easy, just make sure you roll your nori tight o it doesn't fall apart or you don't use too much of it!
