What are you people even doing to where you need active scanners anyway?
I'm downloading pirated torrents constantly and always visiting shady porn sites and I never run into issue without an active scanner.
On the rare occasion something does go wrong, a 15 minute scan with malware bytes or combo fix solves the problem.
