I can understand some of you want "old school", but I just can't fathom why some would want to grind all day for "one bub" XP again. We are (or most of us) want some instant gratification and as adults, just don't have the time to dedicate to the grind. Sure, there are always going to be "no lifers" that need to "touch grass", but who cares. Let them have their fun. At the end of the day, this is going to be a solo game for the most part. I think it's cool the legacy of EQ is still around, even in this fashion.

The game is also $20 with a $10 sub. Some of you are treating it like it's a triple A price. I can guarantee most people will get their $30 out of it by the time they quit. I would even say I've already gotten my money out of it.

The only real negative I can see is the roadmap, Kunark being set for "winter", I'm sure Daybreak will get a good amount of money by putting the carrot in front of us. But, I guess that's predicated there are still things for people to do by then. I haven't seen any microtransaction announcements yet, beside some mount, but you can be sure that will happen.

Let's see how it plays out. I'm having fun right now.
I don't mind some changes to EQ classic but what EQL isn't for me. I am glad it works for some. I enjoy playing a single class in groups that brings something needed to make the whole thing work. I wouldn't mind if they increased xp rates, made dungeons instanced, improve UI, but I do not like when game design starts making class abilities irrelevant like giving everyone the ability to port, no CC required for success etc. I really don't like how easy they made EQL, death penalties removed .. it has no challenge and to me is boring.
