Their charm didn't always follow normal rules either. For example, Wuoshi is a druid and if she happened to have "Charm Animal" on her spell set she could charm players even when she had her baby bear pet. I think NPCs didn’t bother with targettype checks for (m)any of their spells? That is why pets could proc the anti summon nuke swords against non-summoned targets?
