*ahem* just to be clear: I definitely not consider anything happening right now a renaissance though.
At best we had a really good period of peace and exchanging of goods and services that lasted a little over half a century.
And when that comes to an end yeah I'm pretty sure you can bet there will be another dark ages.
They will miss what we fumbled and rebuild one day though, or on mars.
