Assuming you're going to finish both mobs; sit on your pet right outside of the other mob's melee range so when you root pet on charm break, once charmed he's rooted in melee range. Saves you extra steps. This also makes long lasting roots safer.

Is that for enchanter or druid? If you're sitting right behind your pet wouldn't that mean you eat a max damage round on every charm break?
Druids have ensnare and sow. I'd much rather sit far away so I have time to root before it reaches me. 48 seconds isn't too bad of a wait.
