Thanks for the follow up. So, with my changes, I do see the healing messages locally for Dark Empathy. However, I don't think I should and that's one of the problems.

#1. Based on classic logs and research, the message sent is wrong. In classic, the caster should see 'You groan and feel a bit weaker.'

[Fri Aug 10 08:39:45 2001] You slash a black bear for 28 points of damage.

[Fri Aug 10 08:39:48 2001] You slash a black bear for 43 points of damage.
[Fri Aug 10 08:39:48 2001] You have slain a black bear!
[Fri Aug 10 08:39:56 2001] You begin casting Dark Empathy.
[Fri Aug 10 08:40:01 2001] Strawbewy's wounds disappear.
[Fri Aug 10 08:40:01 2001] You groan and feel a bit weaker.
[Fri Aug 10 08:40:09 2001] Strawbewy says, 'thanks!'
[Fri Aug 10 08:40:09 2001] You begin casting Dark Empathy.

This message is not what we current send. Right now it is 'Your wounds turn black.'

#2. The caster should not see how much damage they dealt to themselves, nor what they healed for. The recipient should only see 'Your wounds disappear.'
