This thread somehow made me connect that Trankia, Sulgar and Ristia, who are a couple of rogues hanging out with a wizard may well be a reference to TSR the original publisher of Dungeons and Dragons, a big inspiration for Everquest. I feel this especially likely as DnD was taken over by Wizards, the classmembers for which a quest these guys are involved in is aimed at (essentially the classe's prekunark/presky epic).
