The story title wasn't a coincidence. But no, I was much more like a destroying angel.
That said, you will feel that parallel when you get there. When you go under and wake up as an actual person after 3 days. Only then will you look back at the trail of destruction.
You're not any different there. It shouldn't scare you that much, though.
