Yeah, leveling a chanter I died 636367282 times due to RNG and trying to salvage shit sandwiches. Had to gate a ton of fights.
My ranger is nearing 55 and I only died a handful of times and most of the times it was due to falling of a cliff or running into a red con that roots/blinds. Just random accidents. I never really "lost" a mob either worst case you root rot or snare kite. I love my chanter but the ranger life is so much more enjoyable in general. Pulling in outdoor dungeons is also lots of fun, seen so many bad pullers it is fun trying to do it right.
