It's a general fact that if you are a woman, you have a 1/3 to 1/4 chance (depending on the study) of being raped or sexually assaulted in your lifetime. And it's not like they hand you a card telling you in advance whether you'll get assaulted, so every woman has to live with the distinct possibility that they will face an assault.
It's not about you, or me, or whether either of us rapes. It's about women having to live in a society where enough men
do rape to make the 1/3 to 11/4 statistic true.
