I've been doing a 5 day split workout for years. I typically focus lifts, centered around the "core 4"
Deadlift
Squat
Barbell Row / Pull Up
Bench Press / Military Press
With some supplemental exercises like delt raises, dips, lunges, etc.
I felt stagnate, so recently I switched to only doing 3 days a week - and I do all 4 of the exercises at max intensity each day. And of course 100 situps.
Few weeks in and I'm feeling the swole again. Highly recommend
