Im indifferent to the idea as ive gotten older. Outside of LOTR movies I havent seen many positive examples from this genre. Rings of power was pretty bad except for sauron in season 2. Ill plod through season 3 im sure.

Yeah there isn't any really, it's LOTR and a couple cartoons that take the genre seriously
for me it's

Record of Lodoss War
then just books.
and Lodoss War doesn't hold up as well as i remember it but it's pretty faithful to it's source material whitch was a DnD campaign that was turned into some books/comics then a cartoon.
