something that would actually easily work is like A24 doing a Ravenloft or Castle Amber movie, enough nods to DnD fans while still being just a good weird a24 horror movie

As ive gotten older its funny, raistlin really never cast many spells in any of the books. The only time raistlin really showed his spellcasting prowess was in the sewers of neriak against the other elder black robed mages (and that was a fantastic payoff).
