Lol, Reiwa is the type of person who has an inflated view of their own intelligence. They think they are smart and thus they think they are asking these "gotcha" type questions, when in reality everyone is just looking at them like "what????"

Seriously!!!
I just have to share this recent exchange from his gluten thread. He had changed the topic from Celiac's to corn subsidies, and I responded with:

Without the subsidies, we wouldn't have (or at least we'd have a lot less) "corn addiction".
The main (though certainly not the only) effect of all those subsidies is to make corn cheaper. People consume cheap things more than they consume expensive things, and so they consume more corn when its price is artificially low.

He responded with three completely nonsensical questions (but only two question marks):

What about when the corn addicts vote for someone to take away their corn subsidies?
Is that illegitimate?
What's the problem.

I was confused:

Huh?

He explained that not only had he stopped talking about people with Celiac's, or people at all ... or even corn subsidies! No, he was worried about the corn itself:

The corn addicts are being provided with corn at a subsidized price.
The majority of all corn addicts vote to end the corn subsidization.
What should happen to the corn?

I tried to answer reasonably, but (like you) I noted that his questions were ... peculiar:

People should eat it, and then not grow so much corn? Same thing that should happen if anyone votes to end the subsidies.
You sure have some odd questions.

But now here's my favorite part of this whole thing ... his response was (essentially) to accuse
me of corrupting the conversation, because I couldn't understand
his mad ramblings!

This is a popular meme right now.

How out of touch with reality do you have to be to spend your time asking questions about what happens to hypothetical corn in a hypothetical future scenario ... and then when someone (politely) asks you "WTF?", you telll them that you see them as a political enemy, who is just
pretending not to understand your corn fixation (so they can disrupt an oh-so-important Off Topic conversation)!
