Fishing Trip

Went on a fishing trip to various zones yesterday, the big fish got away, but here's my catch...

Halas Lake - Fresh Fish
West Karana River - Thunder Fish
Eastern Wastes - Rygorrian Toothfish
Iceclad Ocean - Iceclad Cutlassfish, Salty Whitefish
Wakelands Lake - Fresh Fish
Plane of Growth stream - Trying to catch a land shark?
was gonna try the lake in POG but ran out of bait and had no skinning knife =(

I was able to catch (exclusively) Thunder(something or other) salmon in South Karana.

i recently noticed on torv server ,that al the fish there now seem to be thulian mudskimers forgot to check price difference from fresh fish but they look kinda kewl.also have yet to get a fresh fish there since going back there to fish about 2 to 3 weeks ago with 80ish? fishing skill

Troll fishing

Just got home to my swamps last night and was doing some fishing while healing up - didn't catch any fresh fish - just two named ones - lost the sheet of paper I had written them down on - sigh.

This thread provides some good discussion on fishing in Cobalt Scar before and after the patch.

From the Nov. 7, 2001 patch:

Foraging and Fishing will now result in a wider variety of items, especially in zones that have unusual items available to forage or fish (such as quest items). Quest and unique items were too common in zones that had them, often making it hard to use those skills to obtain items such as food and drink. These quest and rare items will now actually be rarely foraged or fished, as they should have been. Such items will still be available, even to those with low foraging skills, but they will be more easily found by those who have practiced the skills.

While not exhaustive, the above list provides a decent sampling of zones between Mar2001 and Nov2001.

The fact that these Old World and Velious zones were now producing unique fish exclusively also casts the effort to document which zones still produced fresh fish in a new light. No doubt players were making sure they didn't miss any new additions, but they also wanted to know where they could still find fresh fish that would work with existing baking recipes.
