I’m afraid I’m not so clever. I was just bad at geography. Maidenhead is a funny name and is a town which I had thought was in an entertainingly named county, ‘Kent’. Instead, Maidenhead is ‘close’ to Kent in Berkshire. Nice for a visit.

Maidenhead is a market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire, England. It lies on the southwestern bank of the River Thames, which at this point forms the border with Buckinghamshire.

Oh, the town Maidenhead also has a pond/aquarium shop chain named after it, which is a little fishy.
