I actually go that slow on the Eccentric (aka the “lowering”) movement of squats and literally no. one. else. does. At least no one that I see in gyms. In fact, the most common advice anywhere is to not only drop your squat into the next rep, but “bouncing” a little at the bottom for assistance to come up is safe and ok. And it is. But IMO I think for overall strength and stability building slow eccentric is best. On everything, not just squats. Drop and bounce if you want to show off or hit a PR

I don’t go that low though, being heavier and older, too much stress on the knee joints. But I do go parallel or slightly below
