have you ever processed any animals you killed or hunted? i watched a dude turn a deer his buddy had shot into sausage when i was a teenager, i did eat some of the sausage.
my county here in georgia outputs incredible amounts of poultry. almost all of those jobs are worked by immigrants, many of whom might be described as 'illegal' immigrants. i can't imagine they'll find a lot of american laborers to fill those roles even for like $20-$25 per hour like most of them pay around here, so i expect the price of chicken to rise eventually, like everything else.
