I agree trex. There is more to our written history than what is currently popular canon.
I dont think its Altantis or anything. Just that we are not the apex of human achievement.
We (currently) see our ability to change our environment as progress, regardless of the "cost". Costs of environmental and social damage are quite high in our dog eat dog, captitalist system as we have it now.
Maybe the systems in place thousands of years ago left less of a footprint because they used natural materials to build thereby leaving less footprint to be found by archaelogists. Like an environmentally conscience hiker taking only photos and leaving only footprints.
There is more than one way to achieve advancement. We have just been channeled toward the ones and zeros method.
Now i dont know what it was, but i can suspend my disbelief enough to know in a world as complex as earth (whether by divine design or evolution) maybe we dont have all the answers or if those answers are in fact the best answers.
Many ancient civilizations tried to leave nature alone. Nature based ones at least.
I dont have the answer, but I also know we currently dont.
Just look around to see the proof of that.
