It’s a ban on just candy and soda. What will that accomplish though? It takes literally like 10 seconds to walk over from the junk food isle to the baked goods isle and grab a few boxes of cookies (which aren’t banned) and then another 10 seconds to walk over to the sports drink isle and get a Powerade instead of a soda (still loaded with sugar)

Person buying them (with food stamps) still ends up just as fat and diabetic. So what did the ban accomplish? It wasn’t even an inconvenience to switch

Now if they banned all candy, ice cream, chips, baked goods, sports drinks, soda, AND juice, all at once. Well now the average fat person on food stamps might go “uh oh, what can I snack on now?” and it might actually become a problem for their bad habit

But just a ban on soda and candy alone seems like a literal waste of time to me. It’s like banning one flavor of ice cream, or just banning Kit Kat bars. It was a waste of of the paper to print it, and a waste of time to read it. It will accomplish nothing
