An example I had used is, if someone came up to you with a spiked ball and chain medieval weapon, and they happened to be an expert in the weapon
But you didn’t know this, and didn’t know them. And they began twirling the weapon around your head, saying “never fear, I am an expert with this and have never made a mistake”
Any rational human being would say “get that the fuck away from my head, I don’t know you or know if any of that is true”
That same sort of concept applies with people, usually younger people because I used to do this too, bombing down the mountain. We don’t know them, don’t know how truly in control they are, so keep the weapon away from my head, so to speak
